Love At First Knight by Megan Clawson - Book Review

Love At First Knight by Megan Clawson - Book Review

Review by @ambersreadingcorner

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely recommend this book for fans of slow burn enemies to lovers who enjoy their romance on the more closed door side. If you’re after a sweet read with a happy ending, this one’s for you!

What I loved about this one:

🛡️ The Enemies to Lovers trope was done SO well. Teddy was such a grump to begin with but he’s a softy underneath.

🛡️ The anxiety rep. Daisy’s personal journey dealing with her anxiety that has such a hold over her life was lovely to read.

🛡️ The female friendships. We all need a friend like Daisy finds in this book!

🛡️ The setting. Once again, as with Megan’s last book, we’re back at the Tower of London and it’s such a fun location for a book.

My favourite books include Spells For Forgetting by Adrienne Young, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Gallant by VE Schwab, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni and of course A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas!

I’m often curled up on my sofa by the big window in my living room. Always under a blanket, always clutching a cup of tea, munching on a bowl of cashews.

When I’m not reading I’m either working at nursery - where I’m a deputy manager, watching my beloved Manchester City Football Club (for my sins), working on my journal or hiking the hills of the Peak District! I live with my lovely boyfriend of 13 years and we’ve just bought our first house!
