Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

This is my last shadowhunter series to read and it was an excellent start to the series! My favourite thing has to be the perfect found family vibes. It took a minute to get my head around all the characters and their interconnected dynamics but once I did I absolutely loved them all! The Merry Theives were a delight and I enjoyed the reveal of some of their backgrounds, it definitely has me intrigued to learn more! Mathew especially, though Cordelia and James are the main characters and I really liked getting to know them and they had quite a ride. The ending has me very excited to see what will happen with them.

I absolutely loved that we got to see Will and Tessa in their happily ever after and their kids were amazing. James is similar to Will but also got his own sparkle and I love lucie’s way of moving through the word.

The plot was compelling - demons, ghosts, dark machinations… there was quite a bit going on and I enjoyed all the different storylines though some had me wanting to shake the characters 🤣 plus the setting added a lot for me, I love the added struggles of social rules and complex familial relationships!

Very excited to start the sequel and see where these characters go next!

Whisporia Rep

A bit about me… I love all things morally grey and magical!

My favourite series is Red Rising and I’m sucker for found family.

I drink way too much tea and live out my fantasy dreams by visiting medieval festivals and doing archery!

If I’m not reading you’ll find me writing my book or dreaming of far away places.
