I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I loved it! I adored all three of our MCs and loved learning about their histories, dynamics and complicated lives. Moria was as a queen, she was kind and heartfelt and strong and had such a big heart 🥹 she knew what she deserved and wasn’t afraid to tell Rhys what she needed.
I grew to love Rhys and David and their complex personalities and appreciate their fiery past and also their growth and how they learned to be around each other again. David was self destructive and also just really lovable and his relationship with Moria was so special and definitely a highlight for me.
Just the whole polyamory slow burn and building of their love and understanding was everything and I can’t wait to see how this develops in the next books.
The mystery of David’s ailment was compelling and a great backdrop for David and Rhys to get their second chance. I also really enjoyed the different types and styles of magic and how everyone wielded their gifts differently. The secret society boys club was also a fun dynamic and setting and the David and Rhys rivalry an exciting start to this story. But whilst the plot did get attention what really made this story special was the characters and their journey both apart and together. Overall a great read and I cannot wait for the next one!
