One Girl in all the World was a great sequel, more Buffy goodness and slayer shenanigans! I loved diving back into this and seeing Frankie and the gang fight more vampires and demons and uncover more of the mystery that started in the first one. We find out more about Vi’s secrets and the truth behind what happened with the slayers. I really liked this a plot and enjoyed how it all came to a head. The ending was satisfying but left certain things open to continue in the next book.
Again, I loved all the characters and seeing their dynamics develop further. I actually really like all the gang; Hailey and Sigmund are so cute together and I ended up loving the waves Sigmund’s mother creates for everyone. She was badass and blended in better than I expected. Grim grew on me and I appreciated how Frankie handled it in this book considering the choices he was given.
And of course I absolutely love Willow and Spike! And Oz. Spike is just the best and I think Blake brings him to life well. His growing dynamic with Frankie is so lovely and I’m enjoying seeing him in his role as watcher.
Overall it was a great read. It’s got the fun and the danger that Buffy delivers with a great cast of characters and a compelling plot. I’m very much looking forward to the next book! 🤩
