The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington - Book Review

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

After reading Islington’s new book - The Will of the Many - And absolutely loving it I had to get this series! I want quite sure what I was expecting but I really enjoyed this story. Every character is intriguing and complex and I really liked how their paths diverged. So much happened but the information is spread out well and not over done - I have many many questions still, every reveal only left me with more questions right alongside the characters and I love how despite there being 600+ pages I feel as though we’ve only scratched the surface. Even so there was a lot going on, and I enjoyed all the different characters equally. I can’t wait to continue the series!

A bit about me… I love all things morally grey and magical!

My favourite series is Red Rising and I’m sucker for found family.

I drink way too much tea and live out my fantasy dreams by visiting medieval festivals and doing archery!

If I’m not reading you’ll find me writing my book or dreaming of far away places.
