These Infinite Threads by Tahereh Mafi - Book Review

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This started right where we left off in This Woven Kingdom. Giving us Kamran and Alizeh’s POVs again the book follows their journeys in the aftermath of book 1.

I really enjoyed Alizeh’s chapters as we get to see more of the world and a new location. Plus I was team Cyrus from the moment I met him in book 1. We get to know him a little better though he’s still holding onto a lot of secrets. Suffice to say I am invested in Cyrus and Alizeh and I’m excited to see where the story takes them. Especially since Alizeh has a lot to live up to now that the Jinn know she exists. And I’m dying to know what Iblees is up to and what his end game is!

I did enjoy Kamran’s POV, but not as much. I didn’t really like him in book 1 but he is growing and learning so I’m hoping to see more of that in the next book. And I did feel bad for the guy, he was having a really bad few days with very few people on his side. Though I have to say I loved the little group that Kamran ended up stuck with, despite how much he didn’t want them they stuck with him and their arguing and ridiculous comments were hilarious. I can’t wait to see them torment Kamran in the next book 😂

Overall it followed much in the same vein as book 1 and drew me back into the world and the characters. Another great ending - can’t wait to see what the next book will deliver!

A bit about me… I love all things morally grey and magical!

My favourite series is Red Rising and I’m sucker for found family.

I drink way too much tea and live out my fantasy dreams by visiting medieval festivals and doing archery!

If I’m not reading you’ll find me writing my book or dreaming of far away places.
