The Prisoners Throne by Holly Black - Book Review

The Prisoners Throne by Holly Black - Book Review

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(This book has the most perfect ending. That’s the review)

I was a bit scared when I noticed The Prisoner’s Throne was told by Oak (versus The Stolen Heir that is told by Wren, which I LOVED!), I though he would turn out to be another Cardan… However, I was so so wrong! I really enjoyed seeing the inside of his mind, how conflicted he was between what he wanted, what he felt, trusting Wren, playing this cut-throat court game to win. In the end, I loved seeing his vulnerability and how he completely gave his trust to Wren, understood her and loved her.

This was definitely an amazing finale and I couldn’t recommend this duology more! Wren is such a lovely character, with all her trauma and kindness, Oak is mischievous but warm and he’s just trying to find his people!

Whisporia Rep

I am an avid reader, always looking for my next superb read and a fantasy lover! I adore far too many books and if I were to pick my latest gem of a book, it would be ‘The Poisons We Drink’ by Bethany Baptist!

Others from my repertoire of forever in my heart also include, ‘The Whispering Dark’ by Kelly Andrew, ‘The Nature of Witches’ by Rachel Griffin and the classics of ‘The Shadowhunter Chronicles’ by Cassie Clare!

When not surrounded by book, I like to look at flowers, visit new places and be with my partner! I am also obsessed with the colour pink!
