Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well, What an adventure. If I could give this book 6 stars I would. Yes. I said it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Fave book of the year so far. I can barely contain my excitement!

We have:

🖤 Several Queendoms, all of which have queens who are barely civil with one another
🖤 A revered but infamous warrior who cannot remember her past
🖤 A grumpy Druin-man who just wants to be left alone with his forest
🖤A forest that is more than just a forest 👀
🖤A human girl raised by Griffins striving to prove herself.
🖤A pair of assassins roped into escorting a prickly academic who prefers bones to people.

Read if you love
🖤 Multi-POV (third person) - I dare you not to fall in love with all of them.
🖤 Found Family; a dominant theme here that I ADORED
🖤 Slow burn; This is not a romantasy, rather a fantasy with a slice of romantic potential and when I tell you I am HERE FOR IT.
🖤 Grumpy V Sunshine dynamics - some of the dialogue had me chuckling outloud.
🖤 Priory of The Orange Tree. Talonsister gives off the same energy; rich, sumptuous characters from different backgrounds with different beliefs and ways of life.

Did I mention how much I want to give this SIX STARS?

If you’re going to buy a new book. Please let it be Talonsister. I cannot express how underrated I think this magnificent piece of work is.

I desperately need a book 2, and I would very much like to invite each character to tea, with the exception of 1… but I’ll let you find out who that might be for yourself 👀 😉
